I first started personal training with Luke at Switch on Fitness back in June 2011. I was a Size 16 and I had a baby 18 months prior. This gave me the incentive to lose weight!
I’ve now been training for 4 months and my life has changed for the better. I feel fantastic. I have so much more energy to play with my little girl and not be tired and worn down. With my job as Lifeguard I no longer struggle with my fitness and rescue times. I’m actually able to recover faster which has been a big factor for me to keep up with the training. My fitness has improved massively.
I realised I had no motivation before I started. And now I feel I have the knowledge and the tools to lose the weight and keep it off. Luke pushes you to a point encouraging you to carry on when you feel like giving up. He never makes it easy and motivates you beyond what you thought you could do. He is flexible, professional and always pushes you to your limits. No training sessions is ever the same and you never know what to expect.
Luke also gave me ways to stay on track outside of the training sessions with gym programmes I can do in my own time or even ones I could do at home. This was so perfect for me having a toddler around. I could do it without having to worry about childcare or paying a gym membership.
My goal is to be a size 8 and I can safely say that Luke will definitely get me there. I feel amazing when someone says to you ‘wow you look really good’ and you haven’t even reached your goal yet it's brilliant. You feel great about yourself and it gives you a massive confidence boost. Whatever you want to achieve Luke makes it a reality. He puts you on the right track and gets you there. I have enjoyed every second. I moan and groan in the session but he has a way to make you work harder and feel good which makes you want to succeed even more!
